Behnam Yakhchali a doubt for 2025 FIBA Asia Cup qualification

TEHRAN – Iran national basketball team guard Behnam Yakhchali will not likely be fit for two matches against Kazakhstan and Qatar in the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup qualification.

Team Melli are scheduled to host Kazakhstan on Nov. 22 in Tehran and will travel to Doha to play Qatar three days later.

The Gladiators Treves player suffered an ankle injury in ProA and the time of his return is not known exactly.

Iran national basketball team is headed by Greek coach Sotirios Alex Manolopoulo.
